Maybe this will help someone I found the answer in another forum dated 30 May 16. If it takes 5 minutes I know I'll have another crash file in the minidump folder when I finally get back into my computer.Īfter ~2-3 Bad Pool Caller/Bad Pool Header crashes per day I blocked port scans in Bitdefender. Normally, I'm on my system working away when things just stop working correctly do I initiate a reboot and if it is fast I go back to work. The only time it is slow (and takes 5 minutes) is when the system has crashed due to the power driver state failure. That leaves me with six processes active in startup: Which items should I disable in startup ? All of them? Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This was probably caused by the following module: ntkrnlmp.exe (nt!KeBugCheckEx 0x0)īugcheck code: 0x9F (0x4, 0x12C, 0xFFFFE002025F4240, 0xFFFFF8012446E8B0)īug check description: This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. On Tue 21:51:48 GMT your computer crashedĬrash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\061416-9328-01.dmp Lastly, not sure if this adds anything to the attached file, but I ran WhoCrashed and here is a summary of the last crash: All Windows updates are installed.įor all of these crashes, when I restart my computer the restart hangs and takes about five minutes to complete. I did not have any external devices attached today, nor do the crashes seem to be related to external devices. In this last instance, I was uninstalling TechSmith Snagit 12 but the uninstall hung. These crashes do not result in visible BSODs rather, processes stop working correctly so I end up restarting my computer. (I changed the settings in CCleaner which wiped most of my minidump data). I had to cheat SnagIt and creating a CMD file with the command below in order to have the process on "Startup" and even without an icon the process will appear on the task bar and also minimized with the /i switch.Every c ouple of days my Surface Pro 4, ( 6th Gen Intel Core i7, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM) crashes due to a Driver_Power_State_Failure. TechSmith Snagit 2020 keeps crashing and you dont know why Then find out here what you can do if.īe careful if your deployment is 圆4 or x86 the command below applies only to 圆4 but you can modify it to adjust the path for x86. A log off /in is needed to see it happen. Then you can help others or report problems yourself. Reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" /f /v "Snagit User Process" /t REG_SZ /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\TechSmith\Snagit 10\Snagit32.exe /i" And I applied this fix for SnagIt 10 but should be the same thing for many other applications except for the /i that is just assigned to SnagIt. The problem I see here is that even if you modify your MSI to include : TSC_START_AUTO=1 I don't think that on large environments they would like to remove / reinstall the product if it was already deployed just to enable a couple of options. What I have as a problem right now is to store the settings for SnagIt 10 and deploy them for all users of the current machine. One of the possible reasons why your application crashed is because of an outdated Windows OS. As we already know that TechSmith don't know how to create a better logic for their products and they store the settings into the HKCU. Snagit Editor no longer disappears after the first capture in certain situations. We suggest that you install all the latest Windows Updates by following these steps: Go to Control Panel. Fixed a crash that could occur when capturing certain websites. On the top-right corner, type Windows Update in the search box and click the first result. The worst is that they admit their error but still don't have a corporate solution for that.

It’s not important to some people, but I have found I appreciate having the maps, possibly more then having any other function on my satellite messengers. Granted, having a physical map with you is always a good idea in case you lose satellite service or power on your satellite messenger, but it’s great having the convenience of looking at your satellite messenger and be able to find your self on a topo map. One issue is that many times a trail will not show up on any map, but when you have a route created or a trail that shows up on your Garmin GPSMAP 66i, and all of a sudden an unknown trail shows up on your hike, you can easily figure you which direction you should go. What can I say, having topo maps on your satellite messenger may not be important to you, but after hundreds of outdoor adventures in Colorado, it has become important to me. The location sharing is great for friends and family that are back home, or for you adventure buddies with you in the mountains. The other thing that became really important in my last two fishing trips in Colorado with my Buddy Mike, from MikenRickOutdoors, was that we both needed our Garmin satellite messengers to find each other in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, in order to find the camp site, or find each other on the river, as we often split up once or twice during the day. It really helps my family feel more at ease when they know where I am in the mountains, and honestly, it helps me relax more knowing they would know where to start a search if I did not return home. Location sharing is extremely important, at least to me, and is only second to the SOS function. I originally thought my family would bother me too often when I was out on an outdoor adventure, with the 2-way messaging, however, that has not happened, so take a closer look at the two-way messaging and decide if you believe it will be important to you. There have been several times recently where this 2-way messaging became really important. I quickly learned that I really liked seeing my location on a topo map, plus communicating with friends and family at home and also others on my hiking team would become extremely important. I thought a 1-way satellite messenger, such as the SPOT Gen 4, would be all I wanted, and being able to send a message or a track once in a while would be plenty. When I started reviewing satellite messengers in 2019, I was under the false impression that I would never need or want a 2-way messenger. The more you can communicate, the better chance you have for a quick and positive outcome to your rescue. They may need more advanced life support personnel or possibly even a medical helicopter extraction, or it may only be basic life support. Having this powerful tool at my disposal helps to put me and my family at ease when I’m off on a Rocky Mountain adventure.Īnother great thing about the 66i is that you can communicate with the rescue team to let them know the exact nature and severity of your injuries so they can understand how better to respond to you. In my example I also included the AddHostedService extension method. In more complex examples, this is where you will configure things like scale out, persistence, routing etc. This is where you configure the logging and transport in my example. To configure Rebus, the AddRebus extension method is where most of the magic is. This scans the assembly that contains one your message handlers you provide and registers all of the handlers in that assembly. To register the handlers I used services.AutoRegisterHandlersFromAssemblyOf(). This example is from the server side endpoint which consumes messages from the ServerMessages queue and handles them with the appropriate message handler. There are two sections of the host builder below that are specific to Rebus. To get started, we need to wire up a host builder. There is a docker-compose file at the root of that repo that you can use to fire up a mock of AWS SQS for the transport. Note that I'm using LocalStack running in Docker to provide the transport in my full example project you can find in GitHub. Of course Rebus has a good set of example projects, but I built my own just as a way to explore the framework. I created a quick simple example project that is available on GitHub. There are no published prices for Rebus Pro, and I will be interested in learning about what that pricing looks like. Like many opensource projects, there is an option to purchase professional support and the Rebus monitoring solution Fleet Manager comes as part of the professional support contract. This means that each library is light and focused.Īnother tenant of Mogen's vision is that Rebus is free opensource. The really good news is that Rebus leverages a set of componentized libraries to implement features. It is a framework in the sense that it is feature rich and supports multiple persistence and messaging platforms. I have found that he nailed the painless configuration, but thankfully I would describe Rebus as a framework as it exists today. In that same video he explained that he wanted to make the configuration of Rebus as painless as possible and that it is a lightweight library vs a framework. When I checked out the contributors in GitHub I found that while Mogens is definitely the primary contributor there is definitely other contributors. Rebus is founded by Mogens Heller Grabe and according to one of his talks I found on YouTube there are about 100 contributors to Rebus. It is a feature rich opensource (free) framework that has options for professional support and even a solution for monitoring your Rebus solution. When I finally dug into Rebus, I was amazed at what I found. I had heard of it in passing and the reputation was that it needed time to mature. Until a few weeks ago, I only had a vague awareness of Rebus. Since Rebus seemed to be similar to NServiceBus and MassTransit I started there. NET Service Bus space that I felt deserved a closer look. Recently, I became aware of two other options in the. It has just not compared with NServiceBus as far as features, documentation and support when I evaluated in the past. I've checked out MassTransit a number of times in the past and I'm probably due to give it another look. That framework or technology that didn't impress when you first looked at it might have matured while you were not looking and now it is a real contender. That said, I learned long ago in the rapidly changing world of software development that you need to reevaluate your options on regular basis. If you have read my blog articles, you will see that I am a huge fan of NServiceBus and have a considerable amount of experience with using it on projects. No doubt each name has its own historical significance, but the most relevant is the “rowan,” commonly used to refer to the European mountainash, rowan is the German root word for red, referring to the tree’s red berries. This American mountainash is its most common name, but it has also been called: Rowantree, rowan berry, roundwood, mountain sumac, winetree, dogberry, service tree, wild ash, quickbeam, and missey-moosey, among others. Moose, squirrels, butterflies, and bees also depend on mountainash for food. The tree’s red berries attract all types of birds, and the fruit has been known to intoxicate birds after a few winter frosts ferment the berries. The tree is an enchanter for wildlife, especially birds. Its tolerance to varying climates and its small size made it a popular city tree.Īmerican mountainash is one of 100 mountainash species, but only one of seven native to North America. Other times it is unexpectedly found on dry highlands. It just overstays its welcome by quite a large margin to fit all. In its natural range, it is commonly found along the edges of cold swamps and bogs in northern climates. In many ways, Wytchwood accomplishes what it set out to do by being exactly what it says on the tin, an adventure about crafting. Pentagrams were considered symbols of protection. So, when colonists first moved to America and discovered American mountainash -cousin to the European mountainash - it was said that “the witches who crossed the ocean with the first colonists were soon exorcised by the very air and the sky of the New World.” The tree was said to bring good luck because of its five-pointed star, or pentagram, on the stalk of each berry. In this poem, the lover is attempting to gain his desire by appealing to the tender emotions of his object. Here we have another bold attempt at seduction, this one much longer and more complicated than Shelley’s. “Love,” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834) What about you?” Since “Nothing in the world is single,” he says with multiple examples, “What is all this sweet work worth / If thou kiss not me?” Interestingly, the lover’s proof of the “law divine” of mingling delicately omits any reference to animals and their mingling behavior. Instead, it promulgates one of the oldest arguments of a swain to a maid: “All the world is in intimate contact – water, wind, mountains, moonbeams, even flowers.
